The Lowdown: A chance for the NWSL to find its fancy hat – Equalizer Soccer

What does the Kentucky Derby have to do with the National Women's Soccer League? Nothing. But maybe everything.

Ever since the National Women’s Soccer League launched in 2013, I have made no secret of my belief that the league should be building a signature event out of the NWSL Championship. That viewpoint was reaffirmed last weekend by, of all things, a horse race. Actually, two horse races. One that happ...

After listening to the Podcast with Laura Harvey, I'd like to suggest a Podcast segment on coaching licenses and how that all fits together. By the way I would also like to know what you mean when you refer to positions like 10, 8 and 6.
And one more...
Super Kudos to the Equalizer Team in their 49th Podcast on the status of the USWNT following their draws against Japan & England in the SBC for their objective criticism of the USWNT .... and especially Jill Ellis for her selection process and tinkering on positions To their question on the back line, why did they not mention HUERTA as a wing-back ? Sure I agree that Short should be used; but you need another alternative; Sonnett is a natural CB ... move her into that position that she is quite familiar.... Thus you have 4 CBs (Brunn, Dahlkemper, Davidson & Sonnett) plus 4 outside wing backs (Dunn, O'Hara, Short & Huerta) to choose from .... Also concur that Dunn has not been focused .... Someone needs to wake her up ..... Tell Riley to give her a call .....
If anyone is planning on going to the USWNT game against Chile in Carson, join the American Outlaws for the night before the game party.
Great movie!
I would like to hear more about the broadcasting situation. I tried the NWSL app and it constantly locked up also watching a game on a smart phone is agonizing. Was it just me or were all the games in such sad shape. Is there any chance the NWSL will go back to Youtube?
I have a question for the women's soccer media at large. Rose Lavelle injured her hamstring and was reported to be out for 6-8 weeks. And yet throughout the time she was out, the media offered no update at all on her injury even as that time stretched out to 10 weeks without so much as a peep of when she might start playing again. I'm not mad about her being out for so long, that stuff happens. I am mad about the lack of reporting on it. I realize there aren't as many resources devoted towards media coverage in womens soccer as other professional sports. But if other media is reporting on what NFL players are tipping waiters or what athletes will be on Dancing with stars I don't think it's a stretch to ask for an injury update or two on one of the top young prospects of the USWNT, arguably the highest profile women's soccer team in the world!
