Plug in Hybrid GMC Yukon Coming?

One thing GM has strayed away from are hybrids, but that is about to change. A wave of new PHEVs are on their way starting next year and the GMC brand will be getting in on this action.

What engine this setup would use is unknown, but PHEVs from GM’s brands will also likely spread to normal models too like the Equinox, Terrain and Buick lineup.

The DBS GT Zagato is no doubt a gorgeous machine with a wild moving grill, finished in Caribbean Pearl and a monster Twin Turbo V12 under the hood making 760HP. The DB4 GT Zagato continuation car features the same paint with its hand formed body, 390HP, manual gearbox, and just 63 miles on the clock.

At an as tested price of $95,810, it offers strong power and a sharp Mercedes design. But at this price point, some competitors may make more sense, and the fact the CLE 450 exists with the same engine. -Cupholders are very small, as is access to the wireless charger all surrounded by black plastic.
-Tame for an AMG branded product, even in Race mode. (Though you can do a burnout in RWD mode)
-All touch screen interface (even if it works well)

- 8/10 - We like the CLE53, it’s quick, stylish, and is a middle ground between luxury and a dash of performance, but it surely leans more on the luxury side. Consider a CLE 450 or wait out for the 63 if you want one or the other.

NEW California Corvette Concept 🇺🇸

[7-24-25 /// /// Images by: Chevy ] While there may not be a production EV Corvette coming anytime soon, GM Desing is continuing to host their Corvette Concept reveal series and this is the second of the three to be seen. Dubbed the California Corvette Concept, this machine is based on a carbon monocoque and…. Full EV powertrain. (Thankfully just a concept) The real purpose here is its design, and what we may see on the C9 Corvette.

Unlike the previous concept, which came out of the European team, this was designed around Southern California. It looks stunning with a pointy front nose, slim LED lights, wild aero, and a truly bold interior with a driver cockpit. Unlike most EVs, this concept uses a T-shaped battery pack, much like what Rimac and Maserati Folgore are doing. This allows the seat to be on the floor and keeps the weight in the center of the vehicle.

Secretly A Civic Type R? 2026 Honda Prelude

Under the skin, it’s borderline a Civic Type-R coupe with Honda confirming the chassis is derived from the hottest Civic on sale. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

🏁 Spec Sheet: The Prelude will use a two motor hybrid electric powertrain with a new Honda S+ Shift mode.. a “sharp” simulated shifting system essentially. It controls the gas engine’e RPM based on driving conditions. 🏁

EV Corvette NOT Happening 🇺🇸

[7-22-25 /// /// Images by: Chevy ] We have quite a lot of variants of the C8 Corvette including now 2 hybrid options in the form of the E-Ray and ZR1X, with a small battery, front eMotors, and wild performance. But that may be as far as electrification goes for the Corvette. With a new ZR1 already arrived, it’s time to discuss the next generation which thankfully is said to retain a V8.
⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🏁 Spec Sheet: In the C8 E-Ray we have a 6.2L pushrod unit from the Stingray paired to an electric powertrain. Power figures sit at 655HP. The powertrain uses a dry sump oil unit and eight equal length intake runners. This is paired to an 8-Speed DCT gearbox. The 1.9kWh battery pack is located in the T-Frame of the corvette and drives the front wheels. 0-60 happens in 2.5sec with a sub 10.5sec 1/4 miles time. 🤯 🏁

Acura’s sedan lineup has been shrinking over the years with the death of the RL and TL. The TLX arrived just a decade ago for its first generation, though this second gen is a bit short lived only arriving in 2021. So yea… 2025 is the final year. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

We enjoyed reviewing the TLX Type-S last summer though the market isn’t receiving the sedan well with just 3,634 units sold in the US so far in 2025 and just around 7k units last year. The Integra and their SUV lineup has proven successful with even the EV ZDX outselling the sporty sedan. RIP TLX.

A New Volvo XC90 Is Coming 🇸🇪

[7-22-25 /// ] A lot is changing at Volvo lately as the EV market is oversaturated compared to the demand and EX90 sales aren’t as hyped as expected. That’s a large reason the 2025.5 XC90 & even XC60 lineups are here with updated styling & interiors. Originally, the EX90 was to replace the XC90 entirely… but that certainly is not the case now. Volvo now is apparently gearing up for a next generation XC90 with combustion powertrains, likely a PHEV forward lineup. One powertrain many believe will be in use is that of the Chinese market XC70 with a 40kWh pack and combustion engine. What platform will it use? That’s still under consideration meaning it won’t be coming for a few more years.

As of now, Volvo aims to move production of key models to their USA plant where the EX90, Polestar 3, and soon XC60 are made. Even EX30 production is moving from China to Belgium to avoid massive tariffs.

Most Efficient Audi EVER⚡️ 🇩🇪

[7-22-25 /// ] The Audi A6 e-Tron Sportback is one of the most efficient Audis ever. In the US market, a base RWD model starts at $67k with 375HP and 392 miles of EPA rated range. The drag coefficient to make it possible? Just 0.21cd (with camera mirrors, 0.23 with normal mirrors). But the you realize the Lucid Air Pure cysts around $69k, gets 430HP & 420 miles of range, and has a 0.197cd… so is the Audi the best in the industry? No, but it’s very good.

🏁 Spec Sheet: 3 Powertrains will come at launch: the base RWD gets 362HP. The e-Tron Quattro AWD gains 422HP. The S6 e-Tron Quattro uses a rear biased AWD system and 496HP (543HP in launch mode) and 0-60 under 3.7 seconds. An RS6 e-Tron is in the works.

The battery sits at 94.4kwh useable (100kWh gross) with an 800v architecture, 270kW charging, and an impressive 447-466 miles of WLTP rated range for the sportback. A smaller 83kWh unit will be offered later on. 🏁

Focusing on the front nose and edge around the front wheels, lots of work was done to get the perfect air flow. The A6 eTron also features a flat floor, adjustable ride height, and optional camera mirrors in some markets.

BREAKING: 2026 Acura Integra 🇯🇵

The Integra is selling very well, moving over 24k units in 2024 in the USA, outselling the TLX and old ILX. Outside for 2026 are some new paint colors with Double Apex Blue Pearl and Performance Red Pearl options getting a painted grille. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

The NEW Porsche 911 Cup: E-Fuels 🇩🇪

[7-22-25 /// ] The 911 GT3 Cup is returning soon with some big updates. Based on the 992.2 generation lineup, the track machine has been under development since January and aero is the focus here. From the camo, we can already spot some new vents and intakes along with a huge rear wing. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

🏁 Spec Sheet: Out back is the base 911 3.0L TT Flat-6 engine, making 388HP paired to a manual gearbox. 🏁

Maserati V8 Return? (PLEASE) 🔱 🇮🇹

[7–15-25 /// /// Image by: Maserati ] With big changes at the top of Stealltis management, the return of the V8 HEMI in the US market along with SRT… is it time Maserati follow suit? The final TT V8 Maserati’s have left production in the form of the Ghibli, Quattroporte and Levante Trofeos. Now, Maserati relies on the arguably fantastic Nettuno Twin Turbo V6 with an industry exclusive twin chamber combustion technology. But a V8 is a V8 at the end of the day.

🏁 [ Spec Sheet: One of the most powerful Nettuno V6’s is found in the MC20, now MCPURA: it uses a 3.0L Twin Turbo Nettuno V6 making 621HP and 531 lb-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a 8-Speed DCT. 0-60 happens in around 2.9 seconds with up to a 202MPH TopSpeed. 🏁

Maserati also had plans to become full EV by 2030.. but that likely won’t happen as the slow selling Grecale Folgore and cancelled MC20 Folgore are telling signs customers want combustion. But will the trident brand bring back the V8? It’s a possibility, but likely for limited special run models. The GranTurismo & Cabriolet have been engineered around the Nettuno V6, as has the MC20/MCPURA. V8 demand is surely getting stronger though, so who knows, things may change.
