When I decided to let a crow stay indoors, I imagined quiet curiosity—short visits, careful steps, maybe a little supervision. What I got instead was confidence with wings. This crow doesn’t explore; he commits. And my idea of a “controlled environment” disappeared the moment he decided the house was also his. 🖤😅
Today tested both of us. I came home tired, hoping for calm, and opened the door to a moment frozen in time. Flour covered the floor like fresh snow. A jar lay on its side, completely empty. And in the middle of it all sat the crow, dusted white, looking straight at me—calm, unbothered, and strangely proud of himself. 🤦‍♀️
He didn’t move when I walked in. No panic. No attempt to escape. Just steady breathing and that sharp, intelligent gaze that said, “Yes. This happened.” I stood there for a second, then laughed—because somehow, between the mess and the quiet confidence, he’d made himself completely at home.
Living with a crow means accepting curiosity, surrendering control, and finding connection right in the middle of the chaos. 🤍
