My stepdaughter never liked me, and she hadn't spoken to me in months — maybe even a year. Then, out of nowhere, she calls, sounding all upbeat, asking to meet at a fancy restaurant. I thought maybe she was ready to try to rebuild our relationship. That's all I ever wanted, so of course, I said yes.

We meet up, and she's there, looking happy but also a bit nervous. Right away, she's ordering the most expensive things on the menu — lobster, steak, you name it. But what bothered me was that she didn't really want to talk. I'd ask a question, and she'd give short answers, barely looking at me. She kept glancing at her phone and over my shoulder like she was waiting for something.

Then, the bill arrives. Before I could hand over my card to pay, she whispered something to the waiter and then mumbled she had to go to the washroom. She slipped away, leaving me sitting there with a huge check.

I paid the bill, feeling crushed, like I'd been used. I walked out, but then I heard a SOUND behind me. ⬇️

My marriage with Mike was done way before we signed any papers. He'd been more into his flashy image than into us for ages. Big cars, big house — if it screamed "Look at me," he wanted it. So when he finally told me he wanted a divorce, I wasn't shocked. What got me, though, was how quick he was to grab everything. "I want the house, the car, the savings," he said, all smug. He even tossed me the crumbs — my personal stuff, as if that was some generous offer.

I just smiled and nodded. I let him take it all because I knew what was coming. My lawyer looked at me like I was crazy, but I told her to let him have it. We signed the divorce papers, and I moved out that afternoon. I was eager to start my new life, but not before making one final call. Everything was set.

The next morning, my phone rang, and it was Mike, absolutely livid.
"WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?!" he screamed.
"Oh, Mike," I said, trying not to laugh, "What's wrong now?"

MY EX LEFT HIS ENTIRE ESTATE (AMOUNTING TO $700,000) TO ME. HIS WIFE DEMANDED THAT I GIVE IT TO HER AND THEIR KIDS, BUT SHE JUST DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT HIS LETTER.

My ex and I were together for 20 years without marrying. I left him three years ago after he cheated. Six months later, he and the other woman got married.

Soon, I met my boyfriend and gave birth to our daughter. My ex kept texting me on occasions like birthdays and holidays, but when he heard about my daughter, he sent me a hurtful text about me cheating on him (I never answered). A few months later, he died in a car crash.

Then, I found out that my ex had left his whole estate to me. I was STUNNED! But then I got a letter from him.

I WENT TO A RESTAURANT TO MEET MY FIANCÉ'S PARENTS FOR THE FIRST TIME, BUT HAD TO CANCEL THE WEDDING AFTER THE DINNER

I met my fiancé at work. He was funny, kind, and confident. Our relationship developed quickly.

When he proposed after six months of dating, I didn't hesitate to say yes. Before that, I hadn't met his parents because they lived in another state. But recently, they came specifically to meet me after hearing about our engagement.

My fiancé told me that he had reserved a table at a restaurant for the occasion. I spent hours preparing, choosing the right dress, perfecting my makeup—everything had to be just right. I told myself I had nothing to worry about. I'd make a good impression, we'd laugh over dinner, and I'd leave feeling like part of the family.

But his parents did something that MADE THE HAIR ON MY SKIN STAND ON END! I didn't expect that!⬇️

JOKE OF THE DAY: A woman, cranky because her husband was late coming home again, decided to leave a note saying, "I've had enough and have left you. Don't bother coming after me." Then she hid under the bed to see his reaction.

After a short while, the husband came home, and she heard him going into the kitchen before he came into the bedroom.

She saw him walk towards the dresser and pick up the note.

After a few minutes, he wrote something on it before picking up the phone and calling someone.

"She's finally gone... Yeah, I know, about time, right? I'm coming to see you. Put on that sexy French nightie. I love you... Can't wait to see you... We'll do all the naughty things you like."

He hung up, grabbed his keys, and left.

She heard the car drive off as she came out from under the bed.

Seething with rage and with tears in her eyes, she grabbed the note to see. ⬇️

MY HUSBAND SENT ME A CAKE TO ANNOUNCE OUR DIVORCE — BUT A FEW DAYS LATER, HE CAME CRAWLING BACK

I was having a normal day at work until I received a delivery of a cake from the bakery where my husband worked. I thought it was such a sweet surprise, so I called my colleagues over to share the cake. The room FELL SILENT when I opened the box. In messy handwriting with chocolate cream, it said, "I AM DIVORCING YOU," and A POSITIVE PREGNANCY TEST was lying on the icing.

Everyone knew my husband was a baker... and everyone also knew HE COULDN'T HAVE KIDS. My ears burned with embarrassment as my colleagues awkwardly left one by one. I stared at the positive test I had thrown in the trash at home that morning, unsure of what to do.

When I arrived home, my husband was pacing the floor, FUMING.

“TELL ME THE TEST ISN'T YOURS!” he demanded without greeting me. I shook my head.

“It is mine. Look, you have every right to walk away, but there’s one thing you need to know.⬇️
