The presumptuousness is really impressive from the peanut gallery. Things that prevent any informed commentary, 1) is that the original orientation? It might have been welded uphill while on the other "side" 2) who says there is no pe*******on? That is not discernible from the photo 3) what's wrong with mig welding pipe together? At the point the AMSE allows the use of MIG in the construction and in shop repair of steam boilers... I would be surprised if they did not have have provisions for power piping. 4) what service is it for? Regardless, nice root gap.

My friend payed $400 for this repair. Thoughts?
