Today, we are beginning a new segment on our social media channels - The Composer Series! On our website, we currently offer over 80,000 tracks from 12 distinct production music labels and have the privilege of working with hugely talented composers and artists, all in an effort to bring our clients around the world the highest quality music to their productions. We present our followers with information about individual tracks and albums but now... From time to time, we would like to highlight a unique de Wolfe Music composer and tell you a bit about them!
In honor of Women's History Month, today's Composer Spotlight is on Ena Baga (1906 - 2004). In the 1920's, the founder of de Wolfe Music, Mayer de Wolfe, was performing as a live musician with Ena and her sister Florence. Soon after, Baga began contributing tracks to the de Wolfe Music library. Her most recognizable contribution to our library is featured on the third LP in The Silent Film Era collection.
In a career lasting over 80 years, Ena Baga performed in some the most iconic cinemas and theatres in England. She composed and recorded music for television and cinema, appeared in Hollywood films, and played before an exclusive royal audience. We are honored to have had Ena Baga as one of our composers!
