After clearing our first peak on a high, we headed down towards our next climb.
We were buzzing, laughing, and cruising along.
Then, as we were about to start our second climb, the wheels on our cart buckled under us.
We investigated, we tried a fix, and we tried a workaround, but the cart we heavily invested in and improved had failed us.
We were devastated.
Personally, I had never failed a challenge like this before, and it hurt (surely there was a way if carrying on)
But we had to call it and head back home.
After some reflection, I'm glad we "failed," and I now appreciate that hurt
Because if we had completed all 3 peaks, I feel that would have somehow been insulting to all our families.
"We can climb Yorkshire 3 peaks,"
But we didn't, despite all our efforts, we didn't even come close

That's real for our families, how many times have they wanted to do something, something so basic as a shopping trip, something sociable like a play date, something important like a hospital appointment and they just couldn't because our world isn't accessible for them.

So yes, carrying medical equipment around with you sucks, it sucks hard and so many don't have a choice 'to call.its quits'
