Shortly after Steely Dan‘s “Gaucho”album came out, Keith Jarrett sued them for a song credit on the title tune, which was similar to his “‘Long As You Know You’re Living Yours.” He won.
So from that point on, his name was added to the song’s writing credits (and he received royalties).
To me, just the intros are similar.
Funny, you’d’ve thot Don & Walt would write theirs in an alt key to F!
