Grocery chain Trader Joe's is taking steps to improve their #diversityandinclusion initiatives with regards to both hiring and training processes as well as supplier diversity. With a focus on increasing #leadership diversity within stores, the company is updating their mentoring and development structures under the leadership of their new Director of Diversity and Inclusion, Deborah Williams, CPCC.

To reflect the values they’re working hard to implement internally, Trader Joe’s has dedicated a product development team to ensuring an increase in the amount of Black-owned product suppliers they buy from as well as setting a target of sourcing 15% of their tasting presentations from #blackownedbusiness.

If a fall is detected, MDsense will signal an immediate alarm. If used in a multi-person setting such as a nursing home, MDsense uses real-time #facialrecognition to identify the individual and alert relevant care panthers. Further, MDsense can distinguish between humans and animals or other items, such as vases or desks. As a 24/7 detection service, MDsense can even detect falls in complete darkness and trigger the appropriate response.

Having previously worked at adidas, Worth developed into a thought leader who drove newness within the organization - based on employee, consumer & industry developments/trends. By combining his strategic skillset with an ability to galvanize leaders & teams, he implemented key initiatives which served to push boundaries and foster evolution within the company, such as omnichannel, the digitization of retail, new flagship store concepts, experiential retailing, and the strategic launch for the "employee experience" approach to the workplace.

All of this has culminated in a big career move - where he now hopes do the same (and more) for Vans.
