~Shabbat Shalom~
Shouldn’t we be celebrating
The fact the Temple Mount & Al-Aqsa Mosque
Is Holy to both Jews and Muslims?
Being located, also on the same plot of land, causes problems.
Oy. Living together Peacefully is past due : (
May All Live in Peace, שלום and سلام.

Important issues. Israel’s 74th birthday is great, yet we must acknowledge the pain also of those displaced—to them, it’s The Naqba. Hopefully, women can lead the way to a better future. We’re grateful for organizations like SHIN – The Israeli Movement for Equal Representation of Women, who work beyond wars and terror with Jewish Israeli and Arab Israeli women, together toward building a more Peace-filled, stable homeland. Amen.

As Yom Ha'atzmaut, Israel Independence Day was being celebrated, we were proud and happy, but then the terrorist attacks continued, killing and injuring more Jewish Israelis, today. We understand the different perspective of The Naqba, but when will people learn that killing one another is NOT helpful. Amen.

Hallelujah!
A UN official finally tells the truth that it's not Israel, but Palestinian violence and hate, that is blocking peace!
My article in American Thinker has a wider perspective. As I write in this piece, "when violence is appeased and excused by the information-providers and the blatantly biased, this is where truth and morality go to die."
Please share.

What’s taking so long to recognize that women should have equal rights with men? Oy. We hope you will join us as Penny S. Tee of PEACE with Penny interviews Esther Hertzog, Founder of SHIN – The Israeli Movement for Equal Representation of Women, May 3, 2022, 11 AM PT
COMING TUESDAY! PEACE with Penny SEASON 3 (TRAILER) Penny S. Tee Interviews Esther Hertzog SHIN – The Israeli Movement for Equal Representation of Women, May 3, 2022, 11 AM PT
In Tuesday’s episode, we will be speaking with Esther Hertzog the founder of SHIN – The Israeli Movement for Equal Representation of Women.
SHIN was started In February 1989, and was founded with the aim of achieving equal representation of women in all power centers in Israel, whether political, public or economic. The movement struggles for gender equality in all communities in Israel. SHIN initiates projects that raise feminist awareness by organizing numerous events that provide platforms for outstanding feminist activists and professionals in divergent sectors and fields; it empowers young women and encourages their leadership involvement; promotes cooperation and friendship among Jewish and Arab women, and facilitates vocational and political courses.
As you know by now, PEACE with Penny is concerned with Peace, primarily between Israelis, Arabs and Palestinians, and we’re looking forward to hearing more about SHIN’S accomplishments bringing together both Jewish and Arab Israeli women working together to improve their society.
We hope you can join us as we talk about their work at SHIN – The Israeli Movement for Equal Representation of Women, who are helping to protect women in Israeli society and marginalized communities—ultimately, by working together, they work on Peace.
If our timing doesn’t fit your personal schedule, you can see the recording on my website at www.PennySTee.com under podcasts or on the PEACE with Penny YouTube Channel.
The need for basic equality as humans doesn’t seem like it would require years to implement, and debate still persists, but this is the reality in Israel, 2022, as it also is in the U.S. As a human, who happens to be female, I find this frustrating, and disappointing. Thankfully, there are organizations like SHIN – The Israeli Movement for Equal Representation of Women continuing to carry forward the fight.
Our prayers continue to go out to the people of Ukraine. And as always, we conclude with a prayer, that Everyone will some day Live in Peace, שלום and سلام.0.

PEACE with Penny SEASON 3: Penny S. Tee Interviews Netta Loevy of Itach Ma'aki-Women Lawyers for Social Justice April 26, 2022
In Tuesday’s episode, April 26th, we spoke with Netta Loevy of Itach Ma'aki - Women Lawyers for Social Justice. It is an Israeli advocacy organization working to advance the rights of disenfranchised women and elevate the voices of diverse women in public discourse. Itach and Ma’aki both mean ‘with you,’ in Hebrew and Arabic respectively, and their organization is built on a structure of Jewish-Arab partnership.
Via legal aid, litigation, policy change, leadership training, public advocacy and community organizing, Itach Ma'aki advances the rights of women from marginalized groups in Israel. They support Arab women, Jewish ultra-Orthodox women, single mothers, low-income working women, women in poverty, immigrants and more. Their multicultural group of women lawyers and activists work towards building a shared society based on the common values of gender equality and equal access to justice.
Having worked for years in corporate America, and years ago, being one of few female managers and consultants, I know some of what that’s like, and I applaud their efforts. As they say, we’ve come a long way baby, but still there is so far to go, and within marginalized communities and having additional cultural obstacles, in Israel, the struggle continues.
As you know by now, PEACE with Penny is concerned with Peace, primarily between Israelis and Palestinians, and it’s encouraging to hear of Itach Ma’aki’ s efforts. We hope you will listen as we discuss Itach Ma’aki and its legal battles to uphold a fair balance in Israeli society for women and marginalized communities.
It’s unfortunate that in 2022, we are still talking about some of these same issues, but we are grateful that organizations like Itach Ma’aki- Women Lawyers for Social Justice, exist to carry forward the fight. We continue to send our prayers out to the people of Ukraine.
And as always, we conclude with a prayer, that Everyone will some day Live in Peace, שלום and سلام.
Tonight, we are sad. It begins Yom HaShoah, the commemoration of the Holocaust, when so many Jews were tortured and murdered. May they rest in Peace and their memories be a blessing. We said, “Never again,” but so much of what we’re hearing now on the news is reminiscent of those days. Antisemitism is rampant— college kids on campuses are afraid to wear their necklaces with Jewish stars or wear a kippah (skullcap) in fear of being attacked, Jews are being assaulted on the subway in New York and antisemitic attacks were at record highs in 2021, and it is continuing. When will it stop, and who will insist that it does? The videos we see of Ukraine, is this not genocide too? What will the world do this time? I conclude with a prayer, May everyone some day Live in Peace, שלום and سلام.
In the United States, we’ve come a long way, but we’ve got so much further to go. At the Academy Awards, the slap that didn’t get enough attention, was what was supposed to be a joke—that they were able to hire 3 female hosts for the price of one male host. Oy. But in Israel the discrepancy gets more complicated as religion and culture intermingle with the government. We hope you will join us as we discuss women lawyers who help Israeli and Arab women seek equality and justice.
