Another bedtime story to illustrate the genealogy of Club Music. Ozkar Fuller represent 50 years of driving the dance culture in NY as a promoter and DJ/Producer. A DJ who counts Nicky Siano & Tee Scott as his mentors. Okzar shared residency with Nick Siano at the acclaimed Buttermilk Bottom [1978-82] following The Gallery's closure is another milestone in his career connecting the progression of dance music and nightlife culture in NYC. A producer who came up under the tutelage of pioneering lodestar Boyd Jarvis, whose classic compositions are the epicenter of NY's House music tradition. His collaborations with Boyd & Walter Briggins to form React and B4 the Storm. But, Ozkar truth shone brightest as a promoter and operator of venues. From 1982 1984 Ozkar along with partners Randy Flood & Franklin Smith owned and operated a nightclub in the Tribecca area of Manhattan known as PHOENIX, which in later iterations was know as Shine and the Canal Room. He was also one of the founding members of the “Urban Underground Network” (aka The Underground Network) Along with Promoter/Producer Willie Wall, DJ/Producer Don Welch, DJ/Producer Jason Load, Singer/Songwriter/House Diva Ms. Barbara Tucker and DJ/Producer David Morales. This is but a small sampling of Ozkar's exploits and exemplify the big why of what is Soulfecta.
