Word-of-mouth was the very first thought, or better-called strategy, in marketing. What started as peer influence has now evolved into Social Media Influencers. People still seek a connection online, and they trust the influencers they have a bond with.

Total social commerce sales will rise by 34.8%, to over $36 billion, in 2022. The number of social commerce users will increase by 12.9% (after rising by 25.2% in 2020.) Brands see more significant benefits from working with smaller influencer partners. They have laser-targeted followers in any given niche who are very interested in their views.

Influencer marketing's most popular distribution medium is Instagram. Nearly all influencer marketing efforts in 2020 will include Instagram in their marketing mix. Instagram posts are suitable for advertisers because of their visual aspect, and marketers may take advantage of this genuine, honest connection to boost ROI.

Influencer marketing expects the global economy to cost $7.2 billion by 2021, up from $4.1 billion the previous year. Year after year, the market has expanded steadily, but this year has seen the highest increase. It's not a trend that will fade away; it's here to stay.

Remote shoot in the West Coast streaming to Japan.
A few weeks ago we produced a remote shoot in California for our clients in Japan. Traveling overseas has become hard since the pandemic; therefore, we try to bring a close to reality experience to our clients during the shoots. There are various ways for remote shoots, some are better quality than others. No matter the tool we use, we make sure the client the shoots is up to their expectations.
We had different locations for this shoot, one of them being a beautiful backyard on a typical sunny California days.
This was one of our first shoots with several cast members since the pandemic started in 2020. We took all the necessary measures so everybody on set could be safe.
Remote shoots have become our new normal, and we’re getting pretty good at it.

先日、カリフォルニアでリモート撮影を、日本のクライアントと制作しました。パンデミック以降、海外への渡航が難しくなってきているので、なるべくお客様に現実に近い形で撮影をしています。リモート撮影にはさまざまな方法があり、中にはクオリティの高いものもあります。どのような方法であっても、私たちはクライアントの期待に応えられるような撮影をいたします。
今回はさまざまなロケがあり、そのうちのひとつがカリフォルニアの典型的な晴天の日の美しい庭。
コロナ禍が始まって以来、初めての多めのキャストの撮影でした。撮影現場の全員が安全に過ごせるよう、必要な措置を取りました。
リモート撮影が日常になる中、私たちは日に日にマスターしていっています。

Remote shoot in beautiful northwest part of Minnesota!
This shoot really made us conscious firsthand the effects of climate change. During the scout a haze of smoke from wildfires in Canada blanketed the area. We saw that the winds would shift a couple days before the shoot, and fortunately that was the case and we had blue skies on the day of the shoot.

A few years ago in the San Francisco area, we woke up to smoke from wildfires covering the city. We needed to not only look at the weather, but take into consideration the prevailing winds, so that we could shoot around the smoke. Luckily the fires were not close enough to be dangerous, and we were able to analyze the wind direction to outmaneuver the smoke to get the blue skies we needed.

Although we find ways to deal with problems on shoots all the time, the wildfires are reflective of problems that affect all life on earth. We have had a year full of searing heat waves, torrential floods, raging fires, unprecedented snow and hail, the list goes on. The recent report from the IPCC made our stomachs drop. However, there is still a seed of hope. Technology is advancing and more and more people are willing to do their part. Some corporations are trying to make a difference by coming up with more ecological alternatives.

As we did on this shoot, we are proud to have the opportunity to work with these companies for a greener future.

今回の撮影では、気候変動の影響を肌で感じることができました。ロケハンの際、カナダで発生した山火事の煙がこの地域を覆っていました。 撮影の2、3日前に風向きが変わりはじめ、幸いにも撮影当日は青空が広がりました。

数年前のサンフランシスコでは、激しい山火事で煙が街を覆っていました。 天候だけでなく、風向きも考慮して、煙を避けて撮影する必要がありました。 幸い、撮影場所は危険な場所には近くなく、風向きを分析して煙を回避し、撮影に必要な青空を手に入れることができました。

撮影現場では常に問題に対処する方法を模索していますが、今回の山火事は地球上のすべての生物に影響を与える問題を反映しています。 今年は、灼熱の熱波、豪雨、猛烈な火災、未曾有の雪や雹など、数え切れないほどの出来事がありました。最近のIPCCの報告書を見て、私たちは驚きをかくしきれませんでした。 しかし、希望の種はまだあります。テクノロジーが進歩し、世界ではエコへの貢献を果たそうとする人も増えています。 企業などでは、よりエコロジーな代替品を開発することで、変化をもたらそうとしているところもあります。

今回の撮影のように、より環境に優しい未来のために努力する企業と協力できることを誇りに思います。
