Dear Friends and Members of the International Community,
We, the people of Cambodia, reaffirm our unwavering commitment to peace and mutual respect, as emphasized in today’s discussions. Despite our consistent efforts to maintain harmony, airstrikes from the Thai side have continued without cessation.
We urge you not to be misled by claims suggesting that Thailand has refrained from ending hostilities due to fears of Cambodian retaliation. Such statements do not reflect the truth on the ground.
Please remember that a nation whose citizens overwhelmingly call for peace would never initiate aggression. We trust that respected international media outlets, including CNN—now present at the border area—will bear witness and report objectively on which party continues to escalate tensions.
Cambodia is a small country, but one with a deep and sincere desire for peace. We call on the global community to trust in our intentions, believe in our voice, and stand with us in our pursuit of a peaceful resolution.
