As ’s takeover of X (formerly known as Twitter) continues to disgust users, a growing number of people are exploring , a rising social media platform. Positioned as a friendlier, more approachable alternative, Bluesky is gaining momentum, drawing users who are dissatisfied with Musk’s leadership and the evolving atmosphere on X.

Bluesky was created under the leadership of former Twitter CEO and initially operated as an invitation-only platform. The exclusivity allowed Bluesky to refine its features, including moderation tools, before officially opening to the public in February. Its layout will feel familiar to former X users, featuring a “discover” feed for trending topics and a chronological timeline for following accounts.

Other functionalities include direct messaging, pinned posts, and curated “starter packs” that recommend people to follow or niche feeds to explore. With these tools, Bluesky has positioned itself as a refreshing alternative for those seeking a lighter, more community-focused experience.
