I moved to New York City in 2002. The World Trade Center site was of the first places I visited. It was somber and still graveyard for people not yet found. I cried.

I then spent 15 years watching it being rebuilt as I commuted to work nearby.

After 4 years of traveling full time, I just moved back to New York to start working in WTC on Monday. I will be working at the site where 3000 people died.

I will think about those people. Husbands, wives, sons, and daughters. New college graduates just starting their career and older people getting ready to retire. Firemen, police, and medical professionals. All people who wanted to go home to their families.

I love Southeast Asia. And Thailand in particular might be my favorite cuisine in the entire world.

But this post is about pizza in Thailand.

Some of the WORST pizza I have ever had has been in Asia. Now that shouldn’t be surprising, as this part of the world is not known for pizza.

Thailand has LOTS of bad pizza.

But Thailand also has good pizza. You just have to look for it.

Picture 1: This is some of the worst pizza I have had in my life

Picture 2: Tuna on pizza can be found in many countries, not just Thailand. But it’s an acquired taste to say the least. And I have not acquired it.

Picture 3: This finally resembles pizza, but still “Meh”

Picture 4: Getting better! The crust was great but why so much cheese on a Neapolitan style?

Picture 5: The best pizza I had in Thailand. Sure the crust was a bit dense and it won’t make any “Best in the World” lists, but I enjoyed it and it proves you can find good pizza here.

Why am I talking about pizza in Thailand? I’ll explain in the first comment.
