What a night. I still can’t believe how powerful, emotional, and joyful this event turned out to be.

To see over 70 Malagasy people — from New York and surrounding states — come together in one room was something truly special. We laughed, we danced, we shared amazing food, and we reminded ourselves what community really means. ❤️💚🤍

We started with prayer and national anthem, honored our roots with kabary Malagasy, and took a moment of silence for the victims of the recent tragedy in Madagascar 🕊. And from there… the love just flowed.

🎤 Thank you to AINA for blessing us with traditional Malagasy songs,
🔥 Thank you to DJ DYO for setting the dance floor on fire,
🎉 And a huge shoutout to BIG MJ for simply being present with us and showing love to the community.

To all of you who brought dishes, donated, cleaned, encouraged, and danced — this night was ours.
This is what the Malagasy diaspora looks like in New York. UNITED. VIBRANT. FULL OF HEART.
