I volunteered to help with the house chores today.

There I was, washing plates, feeling like the Father of the Year.

Unknown to me, another little supervisor had quietly opened the powdered milk and was emptying the whole tin onto the kitchen floor.

The funniest part? My wife walked in just in time to witness the whole situation... and somehow, I already knew I was going to be the one explaining what happened.

I saw the children playing football in the compound and thought I was safe because they were far from me.

The heat inside the house was too much, so I decided to eat outside. I even relaxed and told myself, “nothing can disturb me here.

Next thing I heard was BOOM!”

Before I could even turn my head properly, my food had already joined football match. Eba and egusi everywhere, table wiped clean in one second.

The children one laughing, and the real striker already disappearing from the scene before i could talk

I just sat there looking at my empty plate, wondering how eating turned into football highlights so fast. ⚽🍲

Today, madam served me food… without meat. 🍲
Not because anything happened, but because I didn’t contribute for meat.

rejecting the food is not even an option. Because rejection will only create a second round of discussion which l am not prepared for.

I accepted my portion the way it came… and maintained peace in the house.

Men should always learn how to help their wives in the kitchen. A woman shouldn't be the only one cooking, washing, and taking care of the baby. Providing money is important, but lending a helping hand at home is just as valuable.

So today, I decided to make my wife smile by taking some of the workload off her shoulders. I cooked, carried the baby on my back, and handled kitchen duties at the same time.

Let's just say... I have a whole new level of respect for women.

From today, if food delays a little, I won't ask too many questions again. I now understand that the kitchen deserves some appreciation. 👏

I found mychildren and my neighbor’s children…
already holding a serious meeting like they were paying rent and signing contracts. Papers, toys, snacks… everything was on the table like official documents.

One was pointing like a CEO, the other was nodding like everything made sense.

The funniest part is, I was completely ignored. Nobody even noticed I entered the room. I just stood there like an outsider waiting for permission to speak in my own house. 😂📊

Today, my children decided to give the dog a full spa treatment. 🐶🧼

My daughter was busy scrubbing the dog, the little one was brushing its teeth, and the dog just stood there like it had already accepted its fate.

The funniest part? They were so focused on their on the dog that they didn't even notice I was standing there watching the whole show.
