64 YEARS OLD, TWO HOURS ON STAGE — AND ALBUQUERQUE FINALLY GOT THE JON BON JOVI NIGHT IT HAD BEEN WAITING FOR.
Albuquerque had waited a long time for a night that felt this big.
When Jon Bon Jovi brought his tour to Isleta Amphitheater, the city showed up with full emotion — thousands of fans filling the venue from the front rows to the lawn, ready to sing the songs that had followed them through decades of life.
Parents who grew up with “Livin’ On A Prayer” stood beside younger fans hearing “It’s My Life” live for the very first time. Some came from hours away. Others had seen Bon Jovi before, but said this night still felt different.
For more than two hours, Jon moved through the anthems, the ballads, and the songs that turned Bon Jovi into one of rock’s most beloved bands — from “You Give Love A Bad Name” to “Always” and “Wanted Dead Or Alive.”
But the moment fans couldn’t stop talking about came near the end.
Under the New Mexico sky, Jon slowed everything down, stepped closer to the crowd, and turned a massive amphitheater into something deeply personal.
