Opinions please! My cabinets are Balboa Mist and my counter top Calacatta Idilio. What are your thoughts on the herringbone backsplash in this picture? Should I do a subway tile ( shown next to herringbone sample) instead? Also trying to figure out what color to paint my walls that would go nicely with the Balboa Mist.

I would love some constructive help on how to give my 20-year-old kitchen a facelift. The previous owners did a lovely job, but we have lived here for 12 years now and I am struggling with the floors and countertops especially. Everything pulls so orange (the walls were even painted a marigold color but we changed it to Alabaster). Other considerations: I can’t decide whether to change the backsplash; the Boos island is not super functional and is worn, but the area is small; would love suggestions on new pendants (also changed from orange ones! 🫣), and whether to keep the cabinets as is. They are about 95% in good shape with a few spots where the finish is worn. The floors butt up against acacia hardwood so I’m really not sure what to put in, and my AI hates me so please work your magic. Thank you!

Help! These are 3 ft slide in floating shelves.
I secured the 2x2 brackets into 2 wall studs with 3
inch wood screws. There are 3(2x2) supporting
pieces per shelf. I followed numerous tutorial
which seemed easy to follow, looked fool proof
and did everythinggg they did.
WHY do mine sag?!

I thought I had my green picked out and now I’m second guessing myself. This would be the color for my island. Perimeter cabinets would be Swiss coffee at 75% and probably an oat zellige or subway. Walls also SC hardware and faucet champagne bronze, pendant lights either black with champagne bronze or rattan with black wire and I have plenty of green and wood decir for the countertop. Oh and appliances are stainless steel and countertops will be a off white quartz(nothing stark). Thoughts please, I’m loosing my mind!
