This is how we keep lobster fishing sustainable! Too small or too big they go back. This giant female is loaded with about 60,000 eggs so she gets a V notch for life protection.

Replying to claw-deah the hatchery lobster has returned home! We were on par with mortality in the wild which is a huge success for the first attempt. The oceanarium learned a lot and hopes to continue the program next year with the goal of beating wild mortality!
