Despite the fact that for it's 50th Anniversary, Jaws was scheduled to play from August 29th to September 4th, 2025, as opposed to late June or July when it should have, Jeff and Steve caught it on September 3rd, and as a follow-up, Jeff saw it, once again, the following day.

These are their recollections of those experiences, Jeff's feelings of the poignancy of the film on life itself, and the impact it has had on humanity!

As part of the ongoing, 40th Anniversary of V&R Productions, later this year, along with it's *OFFICIAL* release, we will be issuing an *extremely limited* edition of EIGHT ( 8 ) copies of the long-awaited "Retrospective for The Triad of Telethons for the Benefit of the Boat People" containing a personally signed photo of Steve "Big M" Mirante!

We have been working on this project since the autumn of 2011 and once completed, an official release date will be announced.

For those of you who don't receive one of these, yet still wish to own a copy of this *rare* shot of the ever-elusive celebrity that Steve is, all other DVD sets will contain an unsigned copy, printed on inferior paper stock, but nonetheless a valuable addition to your celebrity photo collection!

V&R Productions Presents: A 40th Anniversary Preview!!!

Co-founder Jeff "Conan" Vargon *discusses the upcoming 40th Anniversary of V&R Productions which commences this coming January 2025.

This multi-leveled, multi-genre, fully self-funded, independent production company, headed by Jeff Vargon and Herb Rivera, started out humbly in The Bronx, New York during the summer of 1985, with their first foray into the world of psychedelic, underground, subliminal cinema (with *feeling*) via V&R Films "That 'Old Proud' Look".

This film, originally conceived of, and written by, Jeff Vargon, was partially based on his otherworldly, keen observations of the true life, horrifically mundane experiences his friend Steve "Big M" Mirante had undergone from the autumn of 1984 all the way up until July 1985.

Directed, produced, edited, and and released under the soon-to-be V&R Productions banner later that year, this celluloid masterpiece also featured cameos by Herb and Jeff, and soon lead to an avalanche of further video, music and literary projects that continue up until this day.

Stay tuned as the new year progresses for further updates and brand, spanking *new* V&R Productions releases!
