More Than a Book Sale: Celebrating 25 Years of Community, Literacy, and Reading Joy
This year, Hachette Book Group celebrated a major milestone: the 25th annual $1 Book Sale at our distribution facility in Lebanon, Indiana.
As Publishers Weekly recently highlighted, this year’s sale was our largest yet, welcoming more than 6,000 attendees and donating more than 10,000 books to the local community, with a portion of proceeds benefiting Indy Book Project.
The event also featured a free children’s book giveaway as part of Raising Readers, Hachette’s social impact initiative dedicated to promoting reading for pleasure among children and families.
As we celebrate Hachette’s 200th anniversary, we’re proud to continue investing in programs and partnerships that help more people discover the joy and lifelong benefits of reading.
Thank you to Publishers Weekly for featuring the event and to everyone who helped make this year’s sale such a success.
