“The Curiosity Effect” is an original docu-series for ROKU that explores the lives of three remarkable people harnessing the power of curiosity to challenge the status quo in their industries, communities & own corners of the world.

These are stories about how urban farming can combat food insecurity, how a blind woodsman is mentoring the next generation of blind artisans, and how a professional skateboarder in her sixties has paved the way for female skaters in a historically male-dominated sport.

Collaborating with Roku to produce this original series reaffirmed our commitment to our own communities and to the importance of making films that inspire change and hope ♥️

Engineers at Ground Zero, directed by Kalim Armstrong, is a documentary that highlights the little-known role structural engineers played following the September 11, 2001 attack on the World Trade Center. While first responders have been rightfully praised, this film focuses on the structural engineers who ensured their safety during recovery, helped stabilize structures, and prevented the Hudson River from flooding the NYC Subway system. Featuring firsthand accounts, it examines how 9/11 has influenced building design and emergency response to keep the public safe. It is also a film about human nature and people coming together to take care of each other in the aftermath of a traumatic loss of life.

10 years of Vacationland and We’ve Been Looking Everywhere.

10 years ago, we embarked on a journey. Along the way, we built a company with a collective of filmmakers who put community first and became family. We’re forever optimistic about the art of film to make change, maybe now more than ever. We revel in the process and stay open to its mystery.

We looked back at the films we’ve made, the places we’ve been, and the people we’ve worked with along the way. And you know what? It’s been a trip and reminded us why we started this journey in the first place. We hope you enjoy this recap, a decade in the making. We can’t wait for our next adventure.
