“Verbum caro panem verum verbo carnem efficit…”

Take a trip back in time to the Spanish Renaissance with Jeb Mueller’s “Verbum Caro.” This arrangement of Tomas De Victoria’s beloved Renaissance motet has been excerpted from his first Pange Lingua and incorporates the original Roman melody, or cantus firmus. Time signature, bar lines, dynamics, and metronomic markings have been added in order to facilitate performances that musicologists believe mimic those of Victoria’s time.

If you’re looking for a piece to impress your audience at performance-time, look no further.

Don’t be fooled by the leisurely and slower-paced opening: this party song and dance tune from the early American frontier was a favorite alternative to the popular "square dance"! With toe-tappin' rhythms and text that flies off the tongue, "Coffee Grows on White Oak Trees" is as enjoyable to perform as it is to hear!

Bravo to the Children's Chorus of Washington for their energetic performance of "All Earth's Children." Their uplifting performance took place on September 14th at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington D.C. as a part of Music at the Monument.

Author Louise Phillips wrote "All Earth's Children" for the U.S. National Park Service's Centennial celebrations in 2016. Phillips, an advocate for "bringing youth and the Earth together through the arts," worked together with composer Charles Eversole to create this bold and inspiring SAB choral.
