My baby daddy said he couldn’t afford to help with school supplies this month…

But somehow he just bought:
New phone
New shoes
New chain

Funny how responsibility is always the first expense to be “postponed.”

But lifestyle?
Lifestyle is always urgent.

I stopped arguing.
I stopped explaining.
I stopped expecting.

Because a man who wants to show up…
doesn’t need reminders every month.

Children should never feel like a bill someone is tired of paying.

Tell me honestly…
why do some men feel proud providing for strangers but hesitant providing for their own child?

but somehow he always remembers to post “My world ❤️” on social media.

Doesn’t help with homework.
Doesn’t ask about school.
Doesn’t check doctor updates.

But Father’s Day?
Oh he’s active.

Paragraph posts.
Filtered pictures.
Comments turned on.

Everybody typing:
“You’re such an amazing dad.”

Amazing where?

Because being a father in real life requires effort that doesn’t come with likes.

Children don’t feel hashtags.
Children feel presence.

Social media has made it too easy for absent fathers to look active.

My baby daddy’s new girlfriend tried to give me parenting advice yesterday…

Parenting advice…
about a child she met 3 months ago.

She told me:
“You need to create a peaceful environment for him so he can feel comfortable being present.”

Comfortable???

Was he uncomfortable when he disappeared for 5 months?
Was he uncomfortable when he ignored medical bills?
Was he uncomfortable when he forgot school enrollment deadlines?

But now suddenly…
I need to make the environment comfortable?

It’s always interesting how the girlfriend becomes the relationship therapist while the actual father becomes the victim.

You can’t coach a man into being responsible.
Either he is… or he isn’t.

Trying to manage a man’s emotions so he can show up for his own child is exhausting.

Tell me the truth…
why do some girlfriends feel the need to defend behavior they would never accept for their own child?

I just found out my baby daddy already promised his new girlfriend a vacation using his tax refund…

Meanwhile, this same man told me he was “struggling financially” when I asked for money for our child’s school shoes.

Struggling financially?
But somehow you’re booking flights?
Planning matching outfits?
Posting countdowns?

So I asked him directly:
“Are you planning trips before taking care of your child?”

He said:
“You always making everything about money.”

Everything about money???

Sir…
Children eat with money.
Children wear clothes with money.
Children go to school with money.

But suddenly when it comes to responsibility… money becomes a sensitive topic.

Now the girlfriend is posting quotes about:
“Real men deserve peace.”

Peace from what?
Your own child???

I’m tired of watching women clap for men who neglect their responsibilities but perform for social media.

Tell me honestly…
If a man can afford trips but not his child’s needs…
is he broke or just selfish?

My baby daddy’s sister told me:
“You expect too much from him… men get overwhelmed too.”

Overwhelmed?
From what?
Ignoring calls?
Missing birthdays?
Blocking responsibility?

But somehow he is never overwhelmed when it’s time to:
Go to parties
Post new outfits
Enter new relationships
Start fresh lives like old responsibilities don’t exist

What confuses me the most is how the family always rushes to defend him…

Nobody ever tells him:
“You need to do better.”

Instead they tell the mother of his child:
“Be patient.”
“Stop stressing him.”
“Don’t push him away.”

So accountability pushes him away?
But neglecting his child doesn’t?

Imagine raising a whole man and still protecting him from basic responsibility.

Some families don’t raise men…
they raise excuses.

Do you think family support sometimes enables irresponsible fathers?

Now all of a sudden, he wanna start acting like he care when he see you ready to pack up. Where was that energy when I was begging you to step up?
Love ain’t no damn switch you can turn on when you scared of losing me. Nah, that’s straight up manipulation.
