Someone needed this today 💛

We have been taught - so carefully, so consistently - that staying is strength and leaving is weakness. That choosing yourself is selfish. That healing privately means you have something to hide. That starting over means you couldn't handle what you had.

None of that is true.

Leaving is courage.
Leaving requires you to trust that something better exists even when you cannot yet see it.

Starting over is wisdom.
It means you grew enough to outgrow what you had.
That is not failure. That is the point.

Choosing yourself is not a betrayal of the people you love.
It is the prerequisite for being someone who has something left to give.

And healing in private?..

That is one of the most powerful, most sacred things a woman can do.
Not everything needs to be witnessed to be real.

You have permission. For all of it.

Not the handbag.
Not the holiday.
Not the version of success that looks impressive from the outside but costs you everything on the inside.

Your peace.

The kind that lets you sleep without your chest tight.
The kind that lets you sit in a quiet room and not feel the need to fill it with noise or productivity or the performance of being okay.
The kind that arrives - slowly, privately, after a long season of hard work - when you have finally decided what you will and will not allow into your life.

That kind of peace is rare. It is earned. And it is worth more than anything you could put a price tag on.

And yet how easily we give it away.

To the person who doesn't deserve another conversation but gets one anyway. To the situation that was resolved months ago but still lives rent-free in the mind at 2am. To the version of ourselves we keep performing - the one that is always fine, always available, always just a little bit smaller than she actually is - because the alternative feels too vulnerable, too confrontational, too much.

The alternative is peace. Real peace. The kind that is not dependent on anyone else's behaviour, anyone else's approval, or anyone else's willingness to understand.

A luxury, yes. But not the kind you buy.

The kind you build - quietly, consistently, one boundary at a time. One honest decision at a time. One gentle, complete, non-negotiable choice for yourself at a time.

Protect it like it's the most valuable thing you own.
Because it is the most valuable thing you own.

The relationship that required you to constantly shrink yourself to keep the other person comfortable - too expensive...

The job that took everything you had and left nothing for the life waiting outside of it - too expensive...

The friendship that always seemed to need more than it gave, that left you more depleted than full every single time - too expensive...

The version of yourself you performed for years - the one that was palatable and agreeable and never too much - the cost of maintaining her was higher than anyone around you ever knew.

Because the currency wasn't money. It was peace. And peace - the real kind, the hard-won kind, the kind that comes from finally knowing what you will and will not accept - is the most valuable thing a woman can possess.

It cannot be bought back once it's spent. It cannot be recovered quickly. It takes time and privacy and honesty and the quiet courageous work of returning to yourself after a long time of giving yourself away.

This is for the woman who is both at the same time 🌸

The one who held it together through the whole meeting and cried in the car on the way home...

Who answered every message with a smile emoji while something inside her was quietly breaking.

Who made the lunches, did the school run, showed up to the job, kept all the plates spinning - and then sat alone at the end of the day wondering how much longer she could keep going at this pace.

And then got up the next morning and did it again.

That's not weakness.
That's not falling apart.

That's one of the most quietly extraordinary things a human being can do - keep showing up for the life that needs her while simultaneously carrying the weight of everything she hasn't had time to feel yet.

She wanted to be saved... She was being built instead 🌸

That's the thing about faith - it doesn't always look like rescue. Sometimes it looks like strength you didn't know you had.

Clarity that arrives when you finally get quiet enough to hear it. A door that closes so hard it forces you to find the window.

She prayed for a different life.
She prayed for rescue.
She prayed for someone - something - to come and take the weight away...

Instead, she got quieter.
Clearer.
Stronger in ways she couldn't explain.

The weight didn't disappear - but she found she could carry it differently.

She started to understand that the prayer wasn't unanswered. It was answered in a language she hadn't recognised yet.

Not rescue. Resilience.
