"Don't help people when you can't help yourself"—let me call this sentence BS.
We are, per the fact that we are alive, imperfect. Each of us has our strengths, weaknesses, and triggers.
Can you imagine if we all waited to be completely healed, masters of everything in our lives to help others with their journey?
That would be a miserable life. Hell, that would be no life. That'd be torture.
Expecting to be perfect in every area before we can have friends, go for that career we like, get into a relationship, have kids, donate to our favorite charity.
That sentence above leaves us all feeling broken and useless. "Not only am I not enough, but I am also useless. What's the point?" That would be a recurring thought in our heads.
You might not have encountered that phrase per se. Still, I'm sure you've encountered moments, people, and days that have made you question your worth, ability to help, experiences, and process.
And I hope when you have encountered those days you took a deep breath and reminded yourself of how awesome you are.
Let's flip the script on that phrase, PLEASE! What if, in reality, life was saying, "Help people where you have helped yourself."
Life is the biggest MLM business. We need each other to move up. All those things you've gone through and overcome—the good, the bad, the ugly? Yup, someone else is going through them as you read this.
Someone out there needs the tips that pulled YOU out of the shadows, and someone out there has tips and resources for whatever it is YOU are going through, too.
We don't grow alone; we are all in the same pot, which is called life. Don't let a few weeds make you think the entire garden needs trimming!
Share your tips, find the needed resources, and keep teaching and being taught!
