The Power of a Phone Call

We live in a world where texting, DMing, and voice notes dominate communication, especially for my generation and younger. We’d often rather type it out than talk it out.

I get it. It’s faster, feels safer, and keeps things at arm’s length.

But let’s be honest: nothing beats the power of a real conversation.

This week, I had two powerful phone calls with investors who are out there making things happen. Not only were those conversations inspiring, but they also led to unexpected opportunities:

✅ I was introduced to two more serious investors
✅ I connected with a creative, out of the box lender
✅ And there’s now a potential management opportunity on the table for my company

None of this came from a text thread or an email chain. It came from picking up the phone, being present, and having real-time dialogue. Voice to voice. Human to human.

Communication is a bridge. Sometimes, all it takes is being seen and heard to unlock doors you didn’t even know existed.

So here’s my suggestion, especially to my peers:
