We had the honor of seeing Hamilton on Broadway, going backstage to meet the actors, inspecting the costumes up close and even got a glimpse of Aretha Franklin's signature on the theater wall!

Jillian Mercado is a professional model who's starred in a Beyonce campaign. She also has spastic muscular dystrophy.
Before signing with IMG Models, a top agency, Mercado wasn't feeling optimistic.

“I didn’t think it was a possibility,” she says of the career she’d imagined. “Not because I didn’t think I was worthy of it, but because I didn’t see anyone else like me out there. It was just not a thing.”

You can't be what you can't see. Representation matters. We are over the moon that Mercado has contributed her incredible story to Nevertheless We Persisted.

The Top 25 Ventures are here!

The most wonderful thing just happened. In This Together Media just made it to the final round for funding with SheEO!

Nearly six years ago we decided to do something about the lack of diverse kids books in the marketplace. The amount my of times we heard "no" are too legion to count. Same for "white boys sell."

Well guess what else sells? Girls of all colors and brown and black boys. LGBTQ kids.

Thanks to everyone for the continued support and to SheEO for helping women get the funding they so desperately need (and have very little access to).
