I came to Manhattan for a brand event, but this hotel made the trip even better. 🗽✨ From waking up to incredible city views to being able to walk to amazing restaurants, get my workout in, and unwind at the complimentary happy hour, the Kimpton Era Midtown made exploring NYC so easy. Some of the biggest changes in my life didn’t happen while I was working, they happened while I was walking.

These walks have become my time to pray, reset, dream, and remind myself that progress doesn’t always have to be loud. Sometimes growth looks like taking one step after another and trusting God with the rest.

I went to VidCon expecting to learn how to create better content. I left realizing I need to become a better CEO.
A few takeaways that changed how I’m approaching my business:
✨ Stop waiting for brands to find you. Pitch yourself.�✨ Build your own brand while helping others grow theirs.�✨ If you’re creating content that’s driving real results, don’t be afraid to ask bigger questions,including opportunities for equity when it’s appropriate.�✨ Build a team. You don’t have to do everything alone forever.�✨ Invest in a good lawyer before signing contracts. Protect your business as much as you grow it.
I’m leaving VidCon with a bigger vision. Less focus on going viral and more focus on building something that lasts.

Meet Terra. 🌿💚

Four years ago, my friend Rita gave me a gift card to Home Depot to buy a plant and I brought home a tiny fiddle leaf fig with big dreams… and today she officially got a new home. 🪴

Fun fact: My siblings and I all have names that start with “T,” so it was only right that my plant did too. 🤎

Repotting can feel intimidating, but watching your plants outgrow their pots is actually a sign you’re doing something right. Here’s to giving Terra more room to grow and hopefully even more leaves. 🌱
