At a Free People listening party in Brooklyn, WILLOW invited guests to slow down, surrender, and consider the invisible forces that connect every chapter of our lives.

Wild greenery softened the architecture with living textures. Presented by Free People to celebrate the release of WILLOW's ninth studio album, “The Thread,” the installation never felt ornamental. Instead, it introduced the evening's central idea before a single note of music had been played: opposing elements exist in harmony.

Markie Farnsley is an American actress, producer, and writer. Her most recent project is Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey. Throughout her career, Farnsley has taken on a variety of roles, allowing her to portray unique personalities, experiences, and emotions. Her career reflects her ambition and creativity, as she continues to take on different types of characters and embrace new challenges. In this interview, she discusses her approach to acting, working on projects based on true events, and her experience being part of The Odyssey. She also shares insight into the creative process behind her roles and what continues to fuel her passion for acting.

From beach to street to the dance floor, Rosina-Mae (Rosina Mae) is redefining what sustainable swimwear can be. 🌊♻️

At Overheated, held at Rüme Atelier during Pride Weekend, designer Rosie showcased her vibrant, made-to-order swimwear crafted from recycled and deadstock materials, alongside fellow sustainability-minded creators. More than a pop-up, the event celebrated slow fashion, local craftsmanship, q***r creativity, and a future where fashion is designed to last.

This Tuesday at PhotoBook Magazine we’re featuring Dominique Drakeford (Dominique DRAKEFORD , who has spent over a decade putting Black and Indigenous voices at the center of a conversation that too often leaves them out, treating sustainability not as a trend to co-opt but as a framework her communities have practiced for generations. Co-founder of Sustainable Brooklyn and creator of Melanin and Sustainable Style, she moves between environmental educator, cultural strategist, and storyteller with the same throughline: fashion and sustainability can’t be separated from justice. Her thinking draws on a background in youth and outdoor education in the Bay Area, a Master’s in Sustainable Entrepreneurship & Fashion from NYU, and years spent auditing how brands actually operate, not just what they say. Featured in Vogue and No Kill Mag, and counted among the most consistent, unflinching voices in ethical fashion, she styles her advocacy the way she styles everything else: considered, culturally rooted, and entirely her own. Her work is a quiet argument that sustainability was never new. It was just written out of the story.
