Made the difficult decision to cover up the last remaining original floors in my 1905 parsonage. They were just too far gone to salvage anymore. Its a bit painful to cover up this history but a new, level finished floor feels pretty fantastic at the moment.

I had a hard time deciding on the type of stone as well as as the hearth stones and mortar color because it’s so hard to choose when you’re only looking at samples or pictures.

Help! My perimeter cabinets will be in the bright white with an island in navy blue. We are in love with the quartz, which has a warmer tone that we love and seems to tie in the floors, the hardware, and the navy island. The part I’m having trouble with is the backsplash tile. Trying to bridge the warmer quartz to the bright white cabinets. What do you think of this tile selection? If you approve, would you do offset or herringbone? Or different tile altogether?

just replaced my granite kitchen countertops with quartz and I'm terrified to place anything on it..I should've done my research more but I loved it so much. I'm used to placing any and everything on my granite without any concern of damage. Now I just want to look at the quartz...🤣. Any advice!!
