A friend of mine called me in a bit of a panic after finding a tiny, abandoned calico kitten in his backyard. Knowing I have a little experience with cats, he asked for help.
The moment I laid eyes on her, my heart melted. She was scared, hungry, and way too young to be on her own. We waited around for hours hoping her mama would return... but she never did. My friend is still keeping watch just in case, but for now, this little baby needed someone to step in.
So… I did.
She’s safe, warm, fed, and already making biscuits like she owns the place.
The twist? My wife—who is just as obsessed with cats as I am—is out of town and has no idea about this little surprise waiting for her when she gets back.
We weren’t expecting it, but sometimes the best things come wrapped in fur and purrs.
