I need some honest opinions on this fence situation. 😅

My neighbor had this fence installed yesterday, and something about the placement looked a little too close to our side. I measured it this morning, and it appears to be about 7 inches inside my property line.

When I brought it up, he said 7 inches is “basically nothing” and not worth making a big deal over.

I’m trying not to overreact, but property lines feel like one of those things that can become a bigger issue later if they’re ignored now. A few inches might not seem like much today, but once a fence is up, it feels a lot harder to fix.

That was the message customers saw before they even stepped inside the restaurant.

And yes…

the internet is absolutely losing it 👀🔥

Because this was not just a simple “tips appreciated” sign.

This sign went all the way in.

It didn’t just tell customers to tip.

It literally walked people through the math for a 40% tip like it was part of the dinner special 💀🧮

So now people are asking:

When did going out to eat turn into:

🍔 Dinner
🍹 Drinks
🧾 Tax
💸 Tip
😭 Emotional math homework

Look, most people can agree on this:

💯 Restaurant workers work hard
💯 Long shifts are exhausting
💯 Rude customers can make the job miserable
💯 Servers deserve respect

That part is not really the debate.

The debate is whether customers should be greeted with what feels like a financial warning before they have even seen a menu 😬

Some people are calling this bold honesty.

A reality check.

A reminder that servers rely on tips.

But other people are calling it guilt-trip marketing.

Customer shaming.

Pressure before service has even started.

And honestly, that’s exactly why this conversation keeps exploding.

It’s tough to feel much sympathy when someone clearly ignores posted parking rules and then acts surprised when there are consequences.

A driver parked an oversized truck across a handicap access area and partially in a fire lane as if it didn’t matter. When they returned to find a boot on it, they looked shocked and started taking photos, acting like they were the one who’d been wronged.

But those regulations are there for a reason, especially when it comes to accessibility and emergency access. If a vehicle is too large to fit without blocking critical areas, that’s on the driver to figure out—not everyone else.

Incidents like this are a straightforward reminder that the rules apply to everyone, no matter what you drive.

Maybe I'm in the minority here, but I'm getting tired of school buses acting like they own the entire road. 😤🚌

Every morning, traffic is moving along, people are trying to get to work, appointments, and places they actually need to be, and then suddenly everything comes to a complete stop because a bus throws out a little stop sign and decides nobody is allowed to move.

I understand keeping kids safe. Nobody is arguing against that.

But are we really pretending there isn't a better system than shutting down traffic in both directions every few minutes while one student slowly crosses the road?

If I stopped my vehicle in the middle of traffic and blocked an entire roadway, I'd probably get a ticket. Yet somehow a yellow bus gets a free pass to bring dozens of drivers to a standstill without question.

Again, safety matters. But convenience matters too. Time matters too.

At some point, shouldn't we be asking whether there are more efficient ways to get kids home without turning every commute into a series of forced traffic jams?

Am I the only one who feels this way, or does anyone else get frustrated sitting behind a school bus that seems to stop every 100 feet? 👀🤷‍♂️

I recently spent about $30,000 redoing my backyard with new concrete. Before it had fully cured, muddy boot prints and dog tracks ended up across multiple sections of the fresh surface.

From what I've been told, one of the workers walked his dog across the concrete while it was still setting. No one mentioned it afterward, and I only discovered the damage later.

When I contacted the company, they said the only true fix would be a complete replacement, and they don't seem interested in taking responsibility.

I'm genuinely curious what others would do in this situation. Is being upset justified, or am I making too much of it? If you've dealt with damaged concrete before, were repairs able to hide it, or did the marks remain visible?

How is this still something people think is okay? Times have changed, and we know better now. 😭

I was driving down a main road and saw a pickup truck in front of me with **two kids sitting in the back** like it was no big deal. No seatbelts, no protection, nothing — just riding back there while the truck was moving through actual traffic.

I honked and tried to get their attention, hoping they would pull over or realize how unsafe it looked, but they just waved like everything was fine and kept going. That honestly made it even worse.

I don’t care if people say, “We used to do that all the time.” This wasn’t some slow ride down a dirt road in the middle of nowhere. This was a main road with cars, traffic, stoplights, and people braking. One sudden stop, one sharp turn, one distracted driver, and those kids could be seriously hurt.

It’s not funny. It’s not harmless. It’s not “just how people used to do it.” It’s dangerous, and kids should not be bouncing around in the bed of a moving truck like that.

What really gets me is how casually the driver kept going like nothing was wrong. I called it in because that is not something you just ignore. Those kids could have gotten hurt, and basic safety should matter more than convenience.
