For the gear nerds, here’s my rig for Sunday’s Led Zeppelin show at … nothing too crazy, to me anyway. Overdrive, fuzz, a delay, and a couple of reverbs in the effects loop. Marshall footswitch programmed for various channels and other functions in the JVM, and Trace Elliot preamp for the acoustic.

Our vintage black panel amps:

🔉1965 Fender Bassman
Both main channels offer classic Fender sounds, with the Bassman providing a punchier, compressed tone, and the Vibroverb providing a more open, lush and shimmery tone. And of course, both love Tube Screamers. The Vibroverb’s onboard reverb and “vibrato” (tremolo) add some incredible layers of dimension, and the Bassman’s cranked bass channel sounds quite ferocious when raunchy power chords are required.
Both classic, both similar, but each is undoubtedly its own animal.
