Working on a sewer line repair and the circled coupling is what I'm concerned about. It's a standard rubber coupling, and I'm about to cover it up. Is a metal-shielded coupling required underground, or will this one hold up just fine?

Plumber accidentally cut my 240V dryer line, and this is the $350 “repair” the electrician left behind.

I’m no electrician, but this looks less like a proper junction box repair and more like a haunted electrical burrito wrapped in black tape.

Is this legit, or should this have been done inside a junction box? Asking before my dryer becomes a fireworks machine. ⚡😅

To my neighbor who thought 10am on a Saturday was the perfect time to start installing sewer pipes in front of the house… I’ve got to admit, I was not prepared for that level of early morning construction.
Some of us were definitely trying to sleep.

Waking up to loud banging and digging before noon on a weekend is… not ideal.

I’ve already reached out to the appropriate authorities about the noise, and I really hope it doesn’t continue, because weekends are supposed to be a bit more peaceful than that.

This used to be a pretty quiet neighborhood, so it’s been a bit of a shock seeing front yards turned into full construction zones with no real consideration for everyone else around.

Just feels like common courtesy has taken a bit of a backseat lately.

This hotel was completely repiped with Uponor PEX about 5 years ago, and now we’re there almost weekly repairing leaks. 😳
At this point it’s becoming a regular thing.

Trying to figure out what the real cause could be:
* Bad batch of pipe/material?
* Poor installation practices?
* Expansion issues?
* Water chemistry?
* Fittings?
* Something else entirely?
Curious if anyone else has seen this kind of failure rate with Uponor systems that are only a few years old.
