Flash Filmmaking was born in 2012 as a creative project for filmmakers, actors, and writers who were drowning in their day jobs. It was originally a challenge to construct a script, organize a shoot, and edit a project in as little as 7 days - hence the moniker. Throughout the last two years the founding members of this project have continued to work and grow in the film industry, and our company
has evolved as well. Now shoots are carefully planned and budgeted, and not subject to week-long deadlines. We have created 10 original projects and have two more in post-production, as well as crewing and producing countless projects by production companies trying to do the same thing as us: create film in New York City while also balancing our daily responsibilities. Our desire is to bring a fresh and adventurous voice to short film, music videos, web-series, commercials, and eventually to feature film. We’re five movie buffs who’ve been trained in acting, photography, and writing, and have worked extensively in the production, art, advertising, and service industries.
