What an honor and privilege to serve as the Emcees for the City of Perth Amboy’s celebration of Thomas Mundy Peterson Day!

Today, we honored the life and legacy of the first Black man to cast his vote in the United States at our home church, Cathedral International. Mr. Mundy Peterson cast his vote in a local election in our home state of New Jersey on March 31, 1870. While it was not without backlash, scrutiny and racism, he changed the trajectory of the country.

We are humbled and blessed to have been thought of by the Planning Committee for this role in today’s festivities.

Hoboken’s newest dinner menu has arrived and we had to check it out.

Viv & Jules just opened this weekend and it already has the town buzzing. This restaurant is in the old Stewed Cow location, but is totally transformed into a vibey, elevated yet cozy restaurant. Chef Cliff Crooks of Top Chef & Food Network fame is leading the kitchen as Executive Chef Partner and has created a seasonal menu that is nutritious, nostalgic and comforting.

We enjoyed 3 of their shareable plates and split an entree and everything was delicious. No dessert menu just yet, but the meal will leave you satisfied and wanting more at the same time.
