Tokyo has an energy to it that even New York can’t match. There are bars and late-night bars and post-last-call, doors-locked, locals-only bars. On one particularly memorable evening, a true all-nighter, our correspondent Jake Emen veered from dinner and drinks to hours of blurry karaoke and then straight to Tsukiji market in an attempt to witness the morning’s fish auctions.

The 2026 World Cup is nearly upon us, and if you’re a dedicated soccer — or football, for the purists — fan, you may be planning to attend some of the matches. But if you’ve been procrastinating, or if you plan on following your favorite team (side, for those purists) from city to city as they advance deeper into the tournament, logistics planning is going to be, well… a nightmare.

We have an answer: Skyscanner.

If you’re a bride-to-be in the 21st century, you have endless resources at your disposal: bridal influencers, bridal magazines, bridal apps, bridal TV shows, bridal Facebook groups and Pinterest boards.

If you’re a man looking to tie the knot, you’ve got…your dad and maybe some friends who took the plunge before you, if you’re lucky.

That’s where we come in: The Groom’s Guide is our expert-led handbook for men who’d like to have a real hand in their nuptials. We’re talking rings, suits and proposals, naturally, but also answering the questions of modern marriage: Should you use AI to write your vows? How do you land an announcement in The New York Times? How do you make sure your wedding doesn’t go viral for the wrong reasons?

It all launches on April 7, just in time for wedding season. Save the date.

When you wake up in the morning, what’s the first thing you do? If you're honest, it probably involves grabbing your phone and scrolling. But increasingly, the day doesn’t just start with a few minutes of bleary-eyed Reels or a quick glance at the weather app — it begins with sorting through fresh newsletters that landed in your inbox just minutes before your alarm goes off.

Newsletters aren’t exactly new, but as other media formats have fallen by the wayside, they’ve become the go-to source for people to get their news, follow their favorite personalities, and engage with culture as a whole.

This seems ironic, given endless discussions about AI noise and hypersensitive algorithms that shorten attention spans to no more than 15 seconds. But the signs are there, and for everyone with a sincere heart and an insatiable curiosity: the newsletter is bigger than ever.

The problem with this revelation? A saturated ecosystem makes it easy to miss out on some of the best, most exciting newsletters. To address this, we’ve carefully curated a list of newsletters we subscribe to regularly and believe you should subscribe to as well. After all, we know a thing or two about delivering stellar email content straight to inboxes everywhere.

You may notice some of the biggest digests and daily summaries are missing from our list. We're not trying to create the ultimate newsletter ranking but rather, as the kids say, put you on to all the stuff that should be filling your inbox — and probably isn’t.

Covering everything from culture and music to news, sports, and wellness, we’ve scoured our own inboxes to ensure this list has something for everyone. So ready that email address, and get scrolling — you’ve got a lot of good reading ahead of you.

From business and tech to politics and culture, the best content on the internet can be found in your inbox
