Widely regarded as the world’s first “supercar,” the legendary Lamborghini Miura celebrated its 60th anniversary at Monterey Car Week this past weekend. Sleek, with an Italian silhouette, it boasts a V12 mid-engine, rear-wheel setup and cinematic pedigree thanks to its iconic starring role in the opening scene of the original 1968 Italian Job.

The coolest car we saw at Monterey Car Week? No question: the Bizzarrini 5300 GT Corsa. Conceptualized in the 1960s by its eponymous owner, the convertible — a mashup of Italian style and American muscle — never rolled off the assembly line. Now the IP belongs to new owners, who retained 90 percent of the original’s 60s era design and detail while incorporating modern technology amenities. Only ~15 will be made available to the public, guaranteeing its status as a hype and highly covetable sports car for years to come.

Then my son got a Brunson jersey.

As the Knicks make their improbable Finals run, I’m reckoning with what it means to root for the team my father never did — and to quietly let go of a family legacy in favor of the one my two young sons are building right now.

Tokyo has an energy to it that even New York can’t match. There are bars and late-night bars and post-last-call, doors-locked, locals-only bars. On one particularly memorable evening, a true all-nighter, our correspondent Jake Emen veered from dinner and drinks to hours of blurry karaoke and then straight to Tsukiji market in an attempt to witness the morning’s fish auctions.
