DID YOU KNOW: A 24-hour human day feels totally different to them. Instead of one long day, Shih Tzus live in mini cycles:

They nap 12 to 16 hours a day in short bursts, not all at once.

Meals (2 to 3 times daily) act as their time markers, not the clock.

Playtime happens in quick bursts of 10 to 30 minutes, followed by rest.

Bathroom breaks every few hours help shape their routine.

Your schedule is their clock, they follow your habits, scents, and cues.

To a Shih Tzu, a “day” feels like:
Eat → Play → Nap → Repeat.
