Although turtles can hold their breath for 45 minutes to one hour during routine activity, they normally dive for 4-5 minutes and surfaces to breathe for a few seconds in between dives.

I just landed here in Indonesia to lead a project deep in the jungle of Sumatra and already met his keeper.

Millions years ago our close cousin the Pongo decided to take an other direction while we decided to adapt to a new environment but we still have so much in common, that’s what about to experience and share with you through their physical and mental abilities.

After 5 hours following the vocalisation of the Gibbons in the jungle with , we came back to the village.

That’s where we found this beautiful King Cobra, to avoid any accidents, we decided that it was safer to relocate it to the forest.

The King Cobras are part of the top predation in the ecosystem and are important in maintaining the balance of nature. They feed on other snakes and reptiles to ensure the balance of the species.
Don’t play, don’t kill, respect and stay wild!🌿

a snake attacked a small guy near a restaurant on the border of the rain forest of Sumatra.
The size is estimated to be around 5m, so extra hands are required.
When I get there I only see it’s head coming out of the bush, that is a serious case, we quickly elaborate a plan to safely remove this Python in order to relocate it.
Everything goes smoothly, now, everyone can sleep well.

Turtle Rescue

At 06:45 AM, we were driving along the coastline with maellethefruitmachine when I saw a splash from a far distance.

We decided to take a closer look and found a big green turtle drowning, hooked onto a fishing line.

After many attempts to remove the hook without success, we untied the line and carried the poor guy to the shore.

It already had one missing fin, probably due to a shark attack during the night.

Far from the village where we stay and without any vet kilometers away, we chose to let it go.

Longlines can be a problem since no one is on the other side to react quickly enough if needed.

From garden to forest, caught and released.

Snakes are not aggressive but can be defensive if feeling threatened in particular situations.
As predators they play an important role balancing the ecosystem.
