Jackson Oswalt was thinking about nuclear fusion.

That’s exactly what Walter Orthmann did.

He started working at a textile company in Brazil when he was just 15. Over the years, he worked his way up and never left.

By the time he was 100, Guinness World Records had recognized him for the longest career at the same company.

Bald eagles are known for forming long-term pair bonds. Once they find a partner, they can stay together for many years, returning to the same territory and often rebuilding or reusing the same nest each breeding season. Together, they raise their young, protect their territory, and survive harsh winters side by side.

But when one partner dies, the surviving eagle is left alone in a place that once belonged to both of them. It may continue returning to the same territory and nest, searching for what is no longer there. The bond can be strong, but unlike the viral stories online, scientists don't know that bald eagles literally “cry,” stop eating for days, or never mate again. In reality, a surviving eagle can eventually find another partner.

Still, watching one eagle return to a nest it once shared with its mate is a powerful reminder that animals can form incredibly strong bonds. 🦅❤️

On July 31, 2026, a family day at Long Point Beach on Martha’s Vineyard suddenly turned into a tragedy.
55-year-old Kevin Foster saw his teenage sons struggling in a powerful rip current and immediately went into the water to help them.
The boys were rescued safely. Kevin, however, was later pulled from the water unconscious. Despite rescue efforts, he could not be revived.
His family remembered him as a kind and generous man who always cared deeply for others.

I have a full-time job and I still use Afterpay to buy groceries.

This is not me being irresponsible. This is inflation.

My grocery bill was $85 last year for the same stuff that is $148 now. Same store, same cart.
