This is just heartbreaking. RIP D’Angelo, my prayers to your loved ones. Blessed to have worked on your debut campaign for “Brown Sugar” in ‘95 when I was just starting out in the business at EMI Records. You had such raw, undeniable talent and genius, yet you were so humble and sensitive. Some of my fondest memories will be conversations by my desk at EMI and the NY showcase event that became the hottest ticket in town. Just gutted. 🙏🏻
