Celebration of the Mawlid in the Presence of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ with 30,000 Companions رضي الله عنهم
When Sayyidul-Anbiya, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, returned to Madinah after the Tabuk expedition, his uncle Sayyiduna al-‘Abbas رضي الله عنه said:
“O Beloved of Allah, I wish to praise you.”
He then asked permission to recite a few lines of poetry in praise of him ﷺ.
The Beloved of Allah ﷺ replied: “Recite, and may your face remain radiant.”
Then Sayyiduna al-‘Abbas رضي الله عنه began reciting his poetry in the mosque, directly in front of the Beloved Prophet ﷺ and in the presence of approximately 30,000 Companions. In his verses, he mentioned how our Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was transferred through the lineage of the previous Prophets and how he was a mercy to all of them:
“You were in the ocean of light before you came to this earth, even at the time when Adam and Hawwa (peace be upon them) were covering themselves with leaves. Then, at the appointed time, you descended.”
Sayyiduna al-‘Abbas رضي الله عنه continued:
“The day you were born, the sun rose upon the earth and the horizons were illuminated with your light. By that radiance, we are guided to the straight path.”
(Notably, the phrase ‘وأنت لما ولدت’ is used here.)
It is astonishing! In the presence of the Beloved Prophet ﷺ, his uncle expressed joy and happiness over the Prophet’s ﷺ birth, mentioning it line after line, while 30,000 Companions were witnessing.
SubhanAllah! This historically proves that:
1. The Companions themselves described the Mawlid (birth) and status of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ with their blessed tongues.
2. This was not rebuked; rather, it was clearly approved by the Beloved Prophet ﷺ.
3. It took place in his ﷺ very presence.
4. Praiseworthy poetry about the Messenger ﷺ was recited in the mosque.
5. Specifically, in the Prophet’s Mosque (Masjid an-Nabawi).
6. Witnessed by the Companions رضي الله عنهم.
7. The noble Mawlid of the Beloved ﷺ was explicitly honored.
8. Recognized by the greatest Companions and the eminent scholars of this Ummah.

Conclusion:
Mawlid is a gathering in which an Imam or scholar narrates the blessed events of the Prophet’s ﷺ birth, and the people collectively express gratitude to Allah Ta‘ala for sending His Beloved, the Master of both worlds ﷺ, into this world.
We do not believe this should be restricted only to the month of Rabi‘ al-Awwal, but it may be celebrated at any time of the year.
Therefore, it can be concluded that celebrating the Mawlid is a noble Sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ and the Companions رضي الله عنهم.
রাসূলুল্লাহ ﷺ'র উপস্থিতিতে ৩০,০০০ সাহাবি رضي الله عنهم'র মওলিদ উদ্যাপন।
সাইয়্যিদুল আম্বিয়া রাসূলুল্লাহ ﷺ যখন তাবুক অভিযান থেকে মদিনায় ফিরে আসেন, তখন তার চাচা সাইয়্যিদুনা আব্বাস رضي الله عنه বলেন: "হে আল্লাহ'র প্রিয় হাবিব আমি আপনার প্রশংসা করতে চাই।" অতঃপর তিনি তাঁর প্রশংসায় কবিতার কয়েকটি লাইন আবৃত্তি করার অনুমতি চাইলেন।
মাহবুবে খোদা ﷺ উত্তর দিলেন: "আবৃত্তি করুন এবং আপনার চেহারা সতেজ হোক।"
অতঃপর সাইয়্যিদুনা আব্বাস رضي الله عنه মসজিদের ভেতরে প্রিয় নবীজি ﷺ'র সামনে এবং আনুমানিক ৩০,০০০ সাহাবায়ে-কিরামের উপস্থিতিতে তার ﷺ প্রশংসামূলক কবিতা আবৃত্তি করতে শুরু করেন, যেখানে তিনি আমাদের নবী মুহাম্মাদ ﷺ পূর্ববর্তী নবীগণের বংশের মধ্য দিয়ে উত্তরণের কথা উল্লেখ করেছিলেন এবং কীভাবে তিনি তাদের সবাইকে দয়া ও করুণা করেছিলেন তা উল্লেখ করেন:
"আপনি ধরাধামে আসার আগে নূরের সাগরে ছিলেন এমনকি আপনি তখনও ছিলেন যখন তারা আদম ও হাওয়া عليهما السلام নিজেদেরকে পাতা দ্বারা আবৃত করেছিলেন। অতঃপর আপনি যথাসময়ে অবতরণ করেন।"
সাইয়্যিদুনা আব্বাস বলতে থাকেন:
"যেদিন আপনি জন্মেছিলেন সূর্য পৃথিবীর উপর উদিত হয়েছিল এবং দিগন্ত আপনার নূরে আলোকিত হয়েছিলো। আর তাই আমরা আপনার সেই দীপ্তিতে এবং সেই নূরের মাধ্যমে হিদায়েতের দিশা পাই।"
বিশেষ দ্রষ্টব্য: এখানে এই 'وأنت لما ولدت' ব্যবহৃত হয়েছে।
আশ্চর্যের বিষয়, প্রিয় নবীজি ﷺ'র চাচা ৩০ হাজার সাহাবির সামনে রাসূল ﷺ'র মিলাদে আনন্দ ও খুশি প্রকাশ করে উল্লাস করলেন এবং প্রতিটি লাইনে তিনি হাবিব ﷺ'র পবিত্র মিলাদের কথা উল্লেখ করলেন!
সুবহানাল্লাহ! এটি ঐতিহাসিকভাবে নিশ্চিত করে যে:
১. সাহাবায়ে-কিরাম তাদের বরকতময় মুখে রাসূলুল্লাহ ﷺ'র মিলাদ ও শান বর্ণনা করেছেন।
২. এটি কোনো রকমের তিরস্কার নয় বরং প্রিয় নবীজি ﷺ কর্তৃক স্পষ্টভাবে অনুমোদিত।
৩.রাসূলুল্লাহ ﷺ'র উপস্থিতিতে এটি সঞ্চালিত হয়।
৪. মসজিদে রাসূলুল্লাহ ﷺ'র প্রশংসামূলক কবিতা আবৃতি করা হয়।
৫. এবং মসজিদে নববীতে।
৬. সাহাবায়ে-কিরামগণের সাক্ষী রেখে।
৭. আল্লাহ'র মাহবুব ﷺ'র পবিত্র মিলাদ সুস্পষ্টভাবে সর্বাধিক সম্মানিত।
৮. উম্মতের সর্বশ্রেষ্ঠ সাহাবা ও উলামে-কিরাম দ্বারা স্বীকৃত।
নিচে কিছু সহিহ্ হাদিস এবং ঘটে যাওয়া ঐতিহাসিক ঘটনার কয়েকটি রেফারেন্স উল্লেখ করা হলো:
►তালখিস মুসতাদরাক আল-সহিহাইন (এই বইটি বুখারি ও মুসলিমের মানদণ্ডে এবং এখানে সহিহাইন বলতে বুখারি ও মুসলিমকে বোঝায়), খন্ড ৪, পৃষ্ঠা ৩৬৯, হাদিস ৫৪১৭। ইমাম আল-হাকিম رَحِمَهُ ٱللَّٰهُ'র অন্য সংস্করণে পৃষ্ঠা ৩২৭।
► ইমাম জাহাবি رَحِمَهُ ٱللَّٰهُ কর্তৃক প্রণীত সিয়ার 'আ'লাম আল-নুবালা'র খণ্ড ২, পৃষ্ঠা ১০২।
► ইমাম আল-হাইথামী رَحِمَهُ ٱللَّٰهُ রচিত মাযমা আল-জাওয়াইদ, খণ্ড ৮, পৃষ্ঠা ২১৭।

মওলিদ হলো এমন একটি সমাবেশ যেখানে একজন ইমাম/বক্তা মওলিদের চমৎকার ঘটনাগুলো বর্ণনা করেন এবং সম্মিলিতভাবে লোকেরা প্রিয় আক্বা, দো-জাহানের বাদশা ﷺ'কে এই দুনিয়ায় প্রেরণের আনন্দে আল্লাহ তা'আলার শুকরিয়া আদায় করে। এটাই মওলিদ উদ্যাপনের মূল কথা। আমরা বিশ্বাস করি না যে এটি শুধুমাত্র রবিউল আউয়াল মাস এলেই করা উচিত বা করতে হবে। বরং এটি বছরের যেকোনো সময় উদ্যাপন করা যেতে পারে।
সুতরাং উপসংহারে বলা যায় মওলিদ হলো নবীজী ﷺ ও সাহাবায়ে-কিরামের একটি অন্যতম সুন্নত।
