A man was found hanging from a tree near West 91st Street at about 6:38 a.m. Thursday morning. Investigators believe he committed suicide.

Education Experts to Tackle UWS Middle School Diversity at Symposium

The Upper West Side and West Harlem may have a diverse student population, but many elementary and middle schools south of West 90th Street remain majority white. A symposium taking place Thursday from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the Joan of Arc Complex, 154 W 93rd Street, will address the issue.

BREAKING: A 24-year-old man was feuding with someone who stabbed him repeatedly in the torso outside La Nueva Victoria Restaurant at 2536 Broadway, near West 95th Street, minutes before 11 p.m. on Thursday.

Fourth Universalist Society, a small church on the Upper West Side, has seen a significant uptick in attendance and members since November, Rev. Schuyler Vogel said. It's averaging about 100 people at services this month, up 45 percent from the same time last year.

2 Children Hospitalized After Upper West Side Apartment Fire, FDNY Says

Flames erupted in a first-floor apartment of 249 W. 61st St., near Amsterdam Avenue, about 5:35 a.m., according to the FDNY. All four people hurt were treated at NewYork-Presbyterian hospital for minor injuries.

Fire marshals will determine what sparked the blaze, which hurt four people, an FDNY spokesman said.
