Macaulay Culkin has reportedly taken his own idea for a new Home Alone movie to Disney, with the story flipping the original formula completely.

This time, Kevin McCallister would be the parent. After becoming distant from his son, Kevin is locked outside his own home and forced to navigate traps built by the child he is trying to reconnect with.

The house would represent the emotional wall between them, turning the familiar setup into a story about Kevin fighting his way back into his son’s life.

Disney has not officially announced the film, and no cast, director or release date has been confirmed. But a return with the original Kevin could be the sequel fans have waited decades for.

Christmas in the 90s really did hit different.

Toys “R” Us felt like Disneyland. The Sears Wish Book was basically a Christmas wishlist before the internet. Blockbuster nights felt like an event. Mall Santas, food courts, Christmas lights, VHS tapes, and houses full of people.

No phones. No perfect photos. No trying to make it look magical online. It just was.
