On Thursday Sept. 3 at Tri-Community Elementary School, A 6-year-old Non-Verbal Autistic child was seen being allegedly suffocated by a teacher. The other teacher who witnessed this abuse reported it to administration the next day and that is when a parent was notified.

She was brought into the Office by a Principal and Superintendent on Friday to be advised of the situation and it was being reenacted but specifics weren’t given. An official report is being made and CYS is now involved.

When we drop our children off at school we expect them to be protected, teached, and guided. The problem is some aids and teachers truly can’t handle kids with disabilities. So, now it’s somebody looking after your child who is there for a paycheck and as we see it doesn’t end well. Respect to all teachers who go above and beyond to cater to our youth because we need it now more than ever.

A Good Samaritan stepped up to help a woman early Saturday morning and she had this to say.
“On Eisenhower Blvd. by the bowling alley. That is me standing over the female who was not struck, but was either pushed out of or jumped out of the truck while leaving the bowling alley. The driver claimed to be the female’s husband.
The driver of the silver Ford F-150 was intoxicated and had been bowling two lanes down from us earlier that evening. Upon seeing the woman being flung from the passenger-side door onto the road, I stepped in between the individuals to assess her injuries. My friends called 911 and kept the driver away from the injured female and out of his vehicle until police and EMS arrived.

The female was unresponsive but breathing when EMS left with her. Video footage has been provided to the police department by officers on scene.”

There were multiple shootings last night. One was on the 900 block of N 3rd St. where the police responded to shots fired and a man was struck in a residence. Sadly he passed away and there is no further details at this time.

Another shooting occurred downtown, and it left one man injured. He was ran to the hospital by another man in his arms. As far as CHANNEL 5 RATCHET NEWS ™ know the status of the man from downtown shooting, He is alive and his friend made it to the hospital in time according to the police officer on scene. The shooting downtown allegedly started off as a fight and turned into a shooting. Over the course of the night multiple gunshots could be heard behind 2nd St. People reported gunshots on Court St. between Santander bank and McGraths. The Brick Haus Pub down to Cranberry St. was taped off as the crime scene when police arrived.

A mother had to be alerted by authorities that her children were dropped off in a complex that they did not reside in. This happened in Susquehanna Township and this is what the mother Sabrina Michele had to say: “transportation for susquehanna left my kids at a place they do no live. MY 5 & 6 year old boys, who ride a small van AND are to be verified when getting off the bus, was left alone wondering the streets of wedgwood hills. The van was going on an hour late & as we did expect them to be a little late due to transportation issues already… the longer it took the more it seemed off. so dad starts calling, I start calling and next thing you know, we’re told they were let off the van at a location that is not HOME! the way my heart sank, the thoughts running through my mind, are they ok? untouched? are they hungry? do they need to use the bathroom? are they scared? one of a parents worst nightmare especially with autistic kids!!! today they really failed the system. they failed my kids cus anything could of happened. thank god it didn’t and thank god to the locals who knew something wasn’t right with 2 kids alone roaming around and reaching out to the police. we got them both home and safe now.”

My dog died in my arms in April, being stressed out and because escapism is a flaw of mine I totaled my vehicle on the highway, and unfortunately things didn’t work out with somebody I wanted to spend my life with. And even though for weeks I wept because it felt like there was nothing I could do, God still gave me strength, a vision, and opportunity. A week later I decided to take a leap of faith and took up an offer to do comedy full time for the summer at ACJOKES.com Comedy Clubs I was scared but I was thinking of every reason why it would work. I knew it would help me sharpen my skills as a comedian touching a stage night in and night out. I say that to say this. Ignore everybody block out naysayers and follow your dreams. Life is short and sometimes the road gets lonely, but you are destined for greatness as long as you don’t Quit! ~ Matt Moyer
