Weekend two of Festival the featured the silent film , accompanied by the Austin-based band who composed a wonderful modern score for the film and is taking it on a national tour. For over a century, the horror film has been celebrated as a masterpiece of the silent era, telling the gruesome tale of the vampire Count Orlok (Max Schreck). The movie has inspired generations of gothic terror and with this unique event, the orchestra brought its musical achievement to the as part of its month-long Halloween programming.
