The first COVID19 vaccination in USA, outside of vaccine trials, took place this morning in New York City.
Sandra Lindsay, a nurse in Queens, at the Long Island Jewish Medical Center, was the first person to receive the vaccine.
She said, she hoped her public vaccination would instill confidence in New Yorkers that the shots were safe. 30% of the US population could be immunized by the end of March, 2021.
Additionally, masks and social distancing will still remain crucial for months to come.
Since the beginning of the Pandemic in the US, 300,000 people died in COVID19 alone, much more than any other disease.
Today was a historic day for New York City and the United States.

Today is a big day! I woke up to a great news from my home country. Azerbaijan has liberated its cultural and historical center from Armenian occupation after 28 years! Man, I still can't believe because this conflict started when I was a kid. I rememember the pain of refugees who were forced to leave Shusha and other Azerbaijani territories by Armenia, I remember the anger and anxiety of my people, I remember fallen soldiers of our neighborhood and I remember how I was scared to loose my dad in this war in 90s. It became childhood trauma of my generation. And now I'm crying with joy and happiness that this conflict is coming to an end and Azerbaijan is liberating its territories from Armenian occupation 30 years later! 30 years of useless peaceful negotiations which ended up with war 2 monthes ago. I didn't make any post since then 'coz my mind and soul was with my people. I was anxious, full of anger and emotions all this time. I'm mad at Armenia for not solving this conflict peacfully and making so many soldiers fall. War means death of civilians, childhood traumas, loosing kids and parents... war is horrible... Thank God that this war is shorter than it was in 90s (4 years) and now our 1 mln refugees can go back to their homes. Justice always wins! We should never give up believing in our dreams! Now, I can't wait to visit Karabakh😭🇦🇿🎉 Viva Patria🇦🇿🎉🥳

On World 🌎 Humanitarian Day August 19th, we thank Humanitarians around the world, 🌎 who risk their lives to save others.
The theme of 2020 is the campaign to feature personal stories of front lines heroes; to find out what drives them to continue to save and protect lives during the COVID-19 Pandemic!
UN Secretary General @antonioguterres says,
“Today join me in renewing our appreciation and support for the brave humanitarians”
“The lack of access and restrictions placed by Governments around the world has resulted in communities, civil society and local NGOs being the frontline of the response.
Therefore, the campaign presents the inspiring personal stories of humanitarians who are treating and preventing COVID-19, providing food to vulnerable people in need, providing safe spaces for women and girls in lockdown; delivering babies; fighting locusts and running refugee camps, all amid the COVID-19 pandemic.” ~ United Nations

What’s exactly happening Inside Lebanon 🇱🇧?
At around 6 pm, Mohammed Safa sat on his desk, finishing up some paperworks in Tyre, Lebanon. Suddenly he heard a noise that shattered his building, windows and door started to break. When the window glass fell, he found himself pressed in the wall, closing his eyes not knowing what exactly is happening. Safa realized he and his family might be in the middle of a war zone. His memories of the 2006 Lebanese war with Israel started to flicker, it was such a devastation. Once the shaking of the ground started to slow down, his family members came out, they looked at each other unable to speak with clarity, they were all shocked. That day, he just returned from the port of Lebanon 2 hours ago, where the biggest explosion of ammonium nitrate took place on Tuesday August 4, 2020. He was just there, can’t believe it..

Myths such as Lemon and Ginger or Herbal Medicine will cure you from getting COVID19 virus. “It has been very challenging getting ahead of the misinformation. Meanwhile, Governments are also fringing our privacy. WhatsApp groups and social media are responsible in spreading misinformation a great deal”, says Catherine Gicheru. What can we do?
We are suppose to act responsibly, by Fact Checking, asking the right question, where’s the source of this information, is the legitimate?

When Justice Fails, Civil Disobedience Prevails,
Nationwide Uprising for Black Lives Matter,
New York City on Curfew.
Finally, 4 officers involved in the killing of George Floyd charged of Manslauter.
New York (Turkish Joirnal)-June 4,2020 by Nishatnyc
NY Governor Andrew Coumo said, “we’ve an injustice in the criminal justice system, that is abhorrent”. It’s not only George Floyd, starting with Rhodney King 30 years ago, Amadou Diallo, Eric Garner, the name change but the color doesn’t.
The voices of the Protesters, yells; All we want is equality, this is gone for way too long, we have gotten through murder. We have to see fairness, we have to see justice for all. The anger this time is unlike any other we have seen.
George Floyed was killed 10 days ago today, an unarmed black man who was handcuffed and pinned to the ground by a white police officer in Minneapolis. The abuse of force started this uprising nationwide, since then demonstrators in cities around the United States have joined protestors of Minneapolis in their demands for justice. While many protests have been peaceful, there have been looting and riots, resulting in police firing rubber bullets and tear gas.
New York City is on Curfew every night from 8 pm to 5 am the entire week of june 1,2020 to june 8, 2020. President Trump suggested, National Guards be involved in controlling people in the streets, New York City did not invite them. Governor Coumo said National Guards are supposed to help the police department only if needed, “ NYC has 38,000 police force compared to Long Angeles with 8000 police force”. NYPD is able to handle those who are taking advantage of this movement wrongfully looting Manhattan stores, and able to allow peaceful protesters in the streets.
Protests Nationwide influenced protests in other countries starting from England, Australia and all around the world, who experience discrimination on a daily basis, as if there are two justice systems; one for the people of color and another for White population.
All four ex-officers involved in the killing of George Floyd now face charges in his death. Derek Chauvin, who pressed his knee into unarmed George Floyd’s neck, was charged a more serious count of second-degree murder. People united and demanded all four officers involved in the unarmed balck man’s murder to be charged in maximum capacity. The three other officers at the scene during his killing have now been charged with aiding and abetting second-degree murder and aiding and abetting second-degree manslaughter.
People United, Never be Defeated, chants the protestors of Black Lives Matter. A ninth night of protests unfolded across the country with demonstrations that were largely more peaceful than previous evenings. Voices from the protests demand equality for all.
Mark Sesay, a youth black activist, says “Enough is enough, 400 years of oppression, the pain of not being hard are too long”. In his voice,
We are the originators
Not the vindicators
The nations we’ve built
You would think it’s a favor
Be the light
Believe in life
Move with abundance
Consciousness talking over surely there’s a
More and more are trying new solutions
To clean this pig infested Racist pollution
But instead of public lynching
Labeled as picnics with family post cards
They stay strapped up with both arms
And kill while we’re off guard
Replay The images all day
To mentally enslave.
George Floyd -Knee to his neck
in broad day light
Choke out your wind pipes
Or pull up to house like a thief in the night
And steal your life -Brionna Taylor.
The list is long, like played out song
No more room for this old tune
Cops are the real thugs
since the slave Patrol days
Harriet Tubman left clues along the way.
we upload on these phones and
Justice still doesn’t have a home.
Lies have prevailed and the truth roams
Allies from all races have joined our fight
Our loving nature good Karma
has spread so much Light.
But it’s not enough and
we’re just at the start
Some of the tribe have grown faint
and lost their heart.
Recharge if you must
Then do your part
Battles will be won
Battles will be lost.
Freedom been at stake
So tell me what’s cost
Experiments in our community
Dividing our unity. Strip our pride
Face so much scrutiny
We’ll burn this down
and rebuild a better nation
Until you respect Black Lives
with no Hesitation.
We’re Kings and Queens
And beg no more.
Proclamations for what’s in store
No justice no peace feel the heat
