It is always good when a woman scientist (and she is older) is recognized for her work. Dr. Michela Gallagher is doing some great Alzheimer's research. She is the CEO of Baltimore biopharmaceutical company, AgeneBio, and her work is being funded by the NIH and the Alzheimer's Drug Discovery Foundation (ADDF is my client). Last year, she was the recipient of the Melvin R. Goodes Prize (from ADDF) for Excellence in Alzheimer's Drug Discovery.
